Subject: | Low Protein Diets | |
I recently had cause to learn that the average person consumes far too much protein, putting a strain on the kidneys. I have since cut back our rather huge meat bill considerably and am finding our diet rather pleasant. We are not vegetarian by any means, but are not consuming pounds of meat each week. How much protein do you consume? |

I have a body builder friend who says we do not eat enough protein in our diets. I am not sure how much protein i consume myself, but I try to have a good and varied diet. |

I am not sure exactly how much we get but I know that it is far more than we should be getting. I am just not sure how to balance it out and still keep the family happy. |

I know I do not get enough protein and find that a low protein diet is something I would not want to try myself. |

I agree with you ken. Proteins are actually harder to digest and if you have the proper intake of proteins then you could actually be eating a negative calorie meal. |
