I hope it's over now. Remember the 'guy' who got pregnant and caused so much hubbub a few months ago? He had a girl. It is also reported that the baby was delivered naturally. Now I really hope that this is the end of story...but no, wait for the book.

I don't recall hearing about this. The way you surround guy with quotes tells me that this probably wasn't really a man, correct? Was it someone who had gender alterations or something?

I believe "he" was supposed to have had a sex change. I hope the story can end now, though I doubt we will all be so lucky!

The man was a woman who had chosen to have only part of the gender reassignment done. Breasts were removed, penis created, but they chose to keep the original set of genitals too. The reasoning was that he wanted babies one day.

Seems too much like having your cake and eating it too.

Sounds like a story that is getting way more press than it deserves. I'm glad as a man from birth I have to only worry about getting my significant other pregnant and not myself on top of that.

I would guess that this might not be politically correct in some quarters but someone who has been surgically altered to look like a man with 'genitals' from both sexes would not be someone I would consider a man. A real man would not be able to give birth naturally.

I'm sure that there will also be a movie. :S

I agree BabeRuth... if you want to be reassigned as a man, why would you want to be able to have babies? In my mind this is no more a man giving birth than it would be if a hermaphrodite who identifies as a man gave birth. It's a special circumstance, not a break through.

But I did tell my husband that when they find a way for a man to carry and birth a baby, then he will be signing up, cuz I am DONE. :p

Exactly, what this person made themselves was a hermaphrodite, and not a man because a man doesn't have all the parts possible. It really is a little bit creepy and I can't begin to imagine the possible problems the child will have with the situation.....

Child; "Where do babies come from?"

Parent; "Well, mommy inseminated daddy with donor sperm and your daddy got pregnant".

Somewhat confusing for the poor child.

I am sure when he/she has recovered from the birth that there will be follow ups to the story chat shows and magazines and such.

I saw him on Oprah. I was suprised that she had him on her show. That stuff belongs on jerry Springer. he creeps me out just looking at him.or her???

This is just a crazy story. I remember hearing about it, but had not heard anything more about it.

It is crazy! But, that is the world we live in today. Don't want to be a woman anymore? Get surgery and become a man instead! Oh wait! Half man, half woman.
