Subject: Insomnia

Lately, I have been having insomnia and I don't know why. I have tried sleeping pills they work at first but then I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep.

What has changed in your life, your diet, stress even? All of these can bother me to the point that I just lay awake in bed trying to stare at the ceiling and not go insane.

You should see a Dr. There could be an underlying issue such as a sleep disorder.

Alexis brings up some good points that changes in your life can lead to insomnia so you may want to try to do something to free your thoughts before you try to sleep such as reading.

There are prescription medications that can help and will last all through the night. Just one more reason to see a Dr.

Many things can help with insomnia, depending on the exact cause. Exercising, cutting down on caffine, and stretching tired muscles can all help. You body may also need more Melatonin to help it get into a truly deep and restful sleep cycle. It's much cheaper than sleep meds, and natural too.
