Subject: Hurricane Ike

Even though this hurricane has past more than 2 months ago, it's after effects are still being felt. I really didn't realize it had done so much damaged, a few thousand people are jobless as a result.

That doesn't surprise me considering the thousands of people who are still suffering in the wake of Hurricane Katrina over three years ago. It is sad that our government feels it more necessary to send money to other countries than it does to fix our own.

Many people fix what they want to do instead of fixing what is at home, that happens all the time and not just with government. It is sad that its taken now how many disasters before anyone would help??

I know before it hit a cousin of mine works at a naval hospital and they were preparing to take in those that needed help for any medical issues but it really makes you wonder where all these people are going to go when this type of thing happens.
