Subject: High Blood Pressure And Pain Killers

I have been fighting high blood pressure for many years. My doctor told me that my blood pressure problems are stress related.

I also have arthritis in both knees and it's pretty painful. When I went to my orthopedic surgeon he said that there isn't much he can do for me except to give me pain killers like Motrin. But he said he didn't want to do that because of my blood pressure. He told me to see my regular doctor and see if he thought I could take Motrin.

When I told my doctor about giving me Motrin he was far from happy because pain killers like Motrin can make blood pressure worse. He did give me some though and told me to only take them when I absolutely have to.

When I do take a Motrin my knees feel quite a bit better but when I don't take any the arthritis starts hurting again.

Isn't that something? I finally know of something that can ease my arthritis pain but I can't take much of it because of my blood pressure.

I have heard of that before. My Aunt has the same issues and it is horrible. They need to be working on some alternatives for people with high blood pressure.

Remember that Motrin and drugs like it are more anti-inflammatories and not pain killers. They can reduce the pain because the reduce the inflammation of an injury like this.

Be careful taking Motrin with your blood pressure and monitor it closely.

I'm sorry to hear that :(. Might want to try a painkiller that doesn't do your blood pressure bad, check with your doctor.

Wow. I feel your pain.

I know that my blood pressure has gone up since I started having to take painkillers several times a day, and doubt that I could choose to go without them in favor of keeping my blood pressure down.

Getting older just sucks!

I can understand how hard to live with blood pressure because my grand father dies because of high blood pressure. You should be very carefull to be cured. Your problem could be cured but you need to be very displine.
