Just about the most embarrassing thing there is in the world. Well, I just ruptured a haemorrhoid, and it bled like a beastie. Other than controlling the bleeding, is there anything else I need to do? (other than be embarrassed that I just had to post this....) |

I am not really sure what would be best to do in this situation as I have never been there myself. I would try to be as comfy as possible and not agitate it to make it worse. |

If you have ruptured one I would be going to see a Dr. There is definitely a risk of infection especially considering the "location" of it. It is always a good idea to have the Dr check things like this out. This is not something I would put off but that is just me. No need for embarrassment. Lots of folks have to deal with them every day. Sean |

I had a friend, years ago, that had a huge hemorrhoid that tended to rupture from time to time. She finally had to go to a doctor and get it removed. It simply just never got better on its own and she suffered for years with the pain and bleeding before she got it fixed. I know it's the last thing you want to hear, but the sooner you get it looked at by a doctor, the sooner you can get some real relief from the pain and the bleeding. |

Go to the doctor and don't be emberassed- People get these all the time. If it's bleeding- I'd say it might need to be removed. They say sitting in sitz baths really help with the pain also. |
