I have for a while had trouble with gas. Embarrassing I know. What foods cause you problems-I need to start avoiding so that I am not in pain all the time.

Problem foods vary from person to person, but I know what you mean about gas troubles.

I keep Gas-X on hand instead of trying to figure out what food are going to "turn on me", and I stay away from milk, ice cream, or other dairy products that haven't been partially digested by something else before I eat them.

The above poster is correct. Problem foods vary from person to person. You could try keeping a journal of what you eat and how gassy you feel afterward. This could help you locate a trend.

Gas-x is great for gas. But other things can cause gas than foods. i know for a fact the bacteria in my sinuses from my chronic sinus infection contribute to gas when the infections flares but, but i can't get my doctor to believe me

For me my biggest problem comes from meat and some raw vegetables. I was vegetarian for 10 years, but started eating meat a year ago when I started changing my lifestyle to a more active one. The raw vegetables that are most difficult for me are the brassicas.

Try changing your diet and take out all the foods that seem to start you getting gas. Keep a diary. Also try taking BEANO. It helps you digest difficult foods. But if the gas doesn't seem to go away, you might try thinking of going to the doctor to see if something else in your gut is making you gassy.

My diet is hugely restricted already, and I have gut issues so taking meds would be questionable at best. I already avoid all the usual suspects, but it hasn't helped.

I think it would surprise some to see what the "gassy" foods are. Such as- Bananas - eggs - bread- fish - cabbage and many others such as was stated previously.
