Subject: Food prices

We are working to shorten the trips we make to the store and have since the gas prices freak out a while back but still it seems we are forgetting things all the time. Does anyone have a few good tips on how you shop for your foods? I can not just buy all in bulk since we have limited storage.

Plan your menus for the week from the sales ad and what you have in stock already. Cut any coupons for what you need and make a list. Get to know your stores discount areas - usually at least 3 for meat, dairy and general food.

I only go to the store once a week. I live pretty far away from the store, so that's why I only do it once a week. I keep a list on the refrigerator of all items that I have run out of so that I know exactly what I need. I look at the sales ads. I clip coupons. I plan my route ahead of time.
