Do get a flu shot every year? Do you feel it is necessary? Is it necessary for young kids and seniors to get one?

I've gotten flu shots in the past but got really tired of getting the flu every time. I never used to get the flu, the three years I got the shot got it once or twice (once being a couple weeks after the shot). Needless to say I stopped and haven't gotten it more than twice in ten years.

My hubby gets a flu shot every year because they give it to him free at work. I got one myself about 13 years ago and I stayed sick all winter long. I have only had the flu one winter since then so I just try to get by without the flu shot.

I have never had a flu shot and I have never had the flu. I don`t understand why they even have that shot. Does it really help the people that have a weak immune system not get the flu?
