I know that too much is a bad thing but so is having too little in your diet. How do you find the right balance?

When is too much a bad thing? I've not heard that..... You need to be careful of the kinds that you eat. Soluble is great, but insoluble can ferment, causing trapped gas.

I find that as long as I am eating a good range of healthy foods then this is not a problem. I eat a lot of green and leafy vegetables, as well as rice and so on, and everything works as it should do!

Too much fiber may make you have looser stools and cause gas and/or cramping. Generally speaking, I would go with what DanaS says - if "everything works as it should do" then you are fine.

What do you think?
