I guess we've all heard that we're not supposed to use Q-Tip style cotton sticks for cleaning our ears. Is there a good way to get results other than using those? I think I've heard about a method of squirting water in the ear - Has anybody here tried that? |

No I haven't heard about that one. I have heard that you should just allow nature to take its course. So when the wax comes out of the ear, you clean it off at that point with puuting anything inside of the ear. |

You are not supposed to insert the Q-tip (or other non branded cotton swab) into the ear. You can use whatever you want to clean the outer surface of the ear, but not the ear canal or further in as you risk rupturing the ear drum, etc. |

If you want to be safe, let your doctor do the cleaning of your ears because they knows best. Cleaning ears regularly promotes better hygiene. You must take an extra care in cleaning it because there are many sensitive parts in our ear. |

There are some ear cleaners that are liquid however those are usually meant to treat excessive wax build up and they typically just loosen the wax. Not something you should or would use regularly. |
