Subject: Does Anyone Eat Honey Anymore?

When I was a kid I loved honey. I was wondering if anyone eats it anymore?

Well, of course. It's a wonderful natural sweetener, and when used in the raw (unpasteurised) form, it is a wonderful antibacterial that helps with stomach ulcers. It can be used to treat heartburn even!

Honey is great!

Our favorite snacks and desserts involve honey on a regular basis.

Desserts are usually fresh fruits drizzled with honey, and snacks with aples dipped in a peanut butter and honey mixture are great!

Use honey regularly as a sweetener. My father used to keep a few hives but he gave up having too much trouble with losing hives to European Trachea Mites. If you are wondering why it is getting so expensive in the stores them little bugs have a lot to do with it. We have a good local supplier who is considering reducing his business to just the locals for the same reason. Last winter was a really tough one for him. I think he lost more than 40 per cent of his hives.

I love cooking with honey just one thing to remember is to never ever scorch the stuff on the stove. It is not a smell you will soon forget.

Most of the current issues in the US are hive vanishing disease or some sort. Not really tracked back to much of anything last I checked, but wipes out hives overnight. People do still use honey, you just might hear more about Splenda since it seems to have made its way into everything.

Honey is the best kind of sweetener around. A little goes a long way and it's delicious.

But you have to remember not to give honey to small children. There's something in it that is dangerous to them.

Honey is fantastic and will never go bad. If you can get local honey it and consume it on a regular basis it can help with seasonal allergies as well as it builds up your tollerance to the pollen.

Skatss is right about giving honey to young children! I can be very dangerous to them.

My sweet tooth has all but almost disappeared since I have gotten older. I dont even know the last time that I ate honey really. And seldom do I use jellys either, just too darn sweet for me I guess.

I love honey. My parents used to get honey all the time, we would use it in our tea, cereal. baking, etc etc. Nothing is better than FRESH honey.
