When your doctor asks that question of and how many units do you drink a week do you lie or tell the truth?

When it comes to my health I'm not going to lie to the Dr about anything. Some things may be embarrassing to admit but it is all for your own good. I have no problem telling the Dr how much I drink a week. I don't see a reason to lie about it. If you do lie there may be a bigger problem.

It's funny that you ask that because I don't drink at all. I don't have a problem with drinking, I just don't get good results when I have any alcohol. I usually just feel ill.

When I go to a new doctor and they ask that question and I when say that I don't drink at all, I usually get a raised eyebrow and then they ask if I have had a problem drinking.

I always have to go into the explanation that I just don't like to drink, it's not that I am a reformed alcoholic.

Strange world, isn't it?

I do not drink so I do not have that problem, but many of my friends are not totally honest with the doctor when asked.

I only drink on very rare occasions (twice in the past 2-1/2 years, actually), so yes, I have no problem telling my doctor about how much I drink. If you fear telling your doctor because you have a problem, I say go ahead and say something. Your doctor may be able to help you overcome your addiction.

I always tell my doctor the truth. I'm there for a reason and I want to be sure they have all teh facts they need.

I don't drink often and I don't smoke ever- so I'm not afraid to tell them.

I think for people that have a problem telling their doctor if they have too many drinks- they should stop drinking so many drinks-

My doctor and I are very candid. We can talk about almost anything just so. I don't drink alcohol except on the rare occasion, so that wouldn't be a problem either.
