Since my sister got sick I have become interested in all the advertisements about colon cleansing and colonics. I asked her doctor if he thought that they were a good idea for me as her sister, after all I am also in jeopardy to getting something wrong in my colon. He told me that he doesn't recommend that I have anything done if it isn't totally necessary. That a good diet and making sure that I eat well and am regular is all that I should do when it comes to colon cleansing. After reading about it, I don't think I would have it as anything other than a needed medical treatment. |

I agree with skatts. Unless I was told to get it done by my medical professional I would nothave it done. I wouldnt imagine it to be a very pleasureable experience at all anyway. |

I have considered using one of these cleanses occasionally too. However, I have always heard that if you have plenty of fiber in your diet it should not be necessary. So, I have been taking fiber supplements everyday and haven't had any problems as of yet. |

I really do not see any need to have this done unless you were having some really serious medical issues. You should be pretty healthy down there as long as you are taking care of your body and eating the right things. |

My mom has had these as part of a diet plan to help rid her system of excess mucus she builds up in hr digestive tract. She also has foot baths to help remove toxins from her body. Whether they help or not is anyone's guess. |

My 17 year old just had a colonoscopy. If his biopsy comes back saying he has colitis or crohnes then they said he can`t eat fiber rich foods. Like lettuce and stuff. I wanted to try one of those colon cleaneses too but my doctor said not to do it. |
