My doctor has always told me use ear drops as described on the bottle as needed. It is not recommend to use Q-Tips since they can push wax further into your ears. |

We use an ear rinse that we got over the counter at the pharmacy. |

Q-tips are completely safe to use on the outer ear. Its only once you try to use it on the part from where it narrows on inside that can be problematic. I've seen ear washes, but never bother much with them. I use ear candles if my ears are that dirty. |

I have always heard that a few drops of hydrogen peroxide will take away excess ear wax. Just lean back and let it dip out of the ear after it bubbles up. Let gravity do the job and don't use Q tips inside your ear! |

What exactly is an ear candle? I've always wondered what ear candling is. It sounds odd and gives a person odd images, lol. But, I usually use a Q-tip and sometimes I don't use it like you're supposed to but I do make sure that my kids don't stick them in their ears, just the outside. |

Ear candling is supposed to be great and releases all the wax out of your ear. |

I use Q-tips. But I always take a warm/hot shower and allow the water to run on my head, allowing the wax to liquify. I never dig down deep in my ears. |

I have never really heard of the ear rinses until really recently and will have to look into those. I have always used Qtips but we get a lot of ear infections maybe that has something to do with it. I am going to post a new topic maybe you guys can explain what ear candles are. |
