Subject: Changing Eye Color

I have a friend whose eye color changes from green to almost a hazel depending on what she wears. What causes this? I have heard of it before but this is the first I'd ever seen it. I thought she had contacts on but she didn't. It was incredible how different the colors were just because of what she wore.

I have never heard of this before and would be interested to find out what causes this myself.

IT is the type of light reflected that makes the eyes APPEAR to change color.

I would have to agree with her true eye color being a brown/hazel. However there are times when the actual color can change. Between three months and six years it is common for a child's eye color to change. It can also fade with age or change based on the pigment's reaction to a certain type of light.

Light reflection and the color of the clothes she wears makes her eyes look like they change color. The eyes don;t really change it just appears that way. My eyes are like that too depending on the colors around me.
