Are these really healthy? I see many people on the go that grab these and run out the door for work in the morning. Are we at the point that we are willing to sacrifice the most important meal of the day and how is a bar a meal? |

I have to admit I use them as a breakfast replacement. They also make decent snacks, like Philbo said ! I like the Balance honey and yogurt ones. As far as if they're healthy or not, well I think they are not "un-healthy" exactly but they sure can't replace a well balanced meal. The main advantage in my opinion, is their portability! |

My family doesn't really use them as anything more than snacks, rather as if they're granola bars. For people who just cannot face breakfast(personally I can't face food first thing in the morning), I think they are an alternate, but not as good as "real" breakfast. |

I haven't tried the breakfast replacement bars but I really like Carnation Instant Breakfast. I usually have two envelopes, though, but it keeps me full until lunchtime so is great when I'm in a hurry. |

^Speaking of Carnation, my sister and I think we remember a breakfast bar(not the drink) made by Carnation that was really delicious. Or so we thought as kids anyway. I haven't seen those in years- does anyone remember them? |

I love breakfast bars! Those Special K ones are great. I like the strawberry type and usually grab one if I have an early appointment somewhere. I think there a great way to get a breakfast on the run without all of the calories. |
