I just read an article that is talking about shots for us all after this crazy month or so with the swine flu. I am not too sure I like the idea of even more things to get shots for.

No one wants to see another pandemic like 1918. The skeptic in me can't help but see that this would be one really big pay day for a pharmaceutical company. Free advertising in the media, lots of government money and everyone is a client. I hope that I have shares in whatever company would get the nod for that.

If they come up with a vaccine for this flu, it's unlikely to see booster shots offered unless it gets a lot worse than it is. You will most likely see it added to next season's flu vaccines, though.

There really aren't that many people who have it. I think the whole situation has been blown out of proportion. Yeah, like Christie says, they will probably add a vaccine to next years mix. I just haven't seen numbers to convince me we are having a pandemic yet.

I was actually wondering about this and whether or not they actually will do it. It just popped into my mind when I first started hearing about the panic starting to spread.
