Subject: | Blood Born Disease | |
How can you protect against disease when having to clean up spilled blood? Especially if you are unsure as to the health status of the person who bled. |

It depends on the disease that you are concerned about. For instance, HIV is killed by a one in four dilution of bleach. I think other diseases are denatured by strong alcohols. |

And make sure that you are wearing gloves whilst you clean up. You don't want to catch something during the clean up process do you! |

Definitely use gloves and the bleach solution will be good to clean the area afterwards as it will kill almost any germ there is. |

Gloves and bleach make sense but honestly this is nothing I ever thought about until I realized how easy it could be to overlook something this simple. |
