Subject: | Biting Nails | |
I have a really bad habit of biting my nails. When I am stressed, nervous, or bored I will bite them. My nails are brittle and fall off anyway. I know that I can get germs and infections from doing this. Is there any advice on how I can stop doing this? |

I think it would be great if you'll set aside lots of candies. Bring some candies all the time. It's more delicious compared to your fingernails. Hope it works. |

They make a nail polish for this that tastes bad. You're supposed to reapply every time you go to bite your nails. Your nails may stop being so brittle if you can stop biting them - the moisture is part of what does that to them. You can also try just applying clear polish or nail strengthener as it can have a psychological effect in reminding you not to bite. Good luck. |

I think you can buy stuff in a pharmacy to put on your nails. My sister did it. She said it tasted soooo bad. I would personally keep them painted. You wouldn't bite them or you'd get polish in your teeth. |

Also a GREAT strengthener is "Nail Tek" try Sally's or a nail salon. It's a bit pricey. About $15.00 a bottle but it is worth it. |
