Subject: | Anyone in the services? | |
A friend of mine will be leaving his base soon (medical base) and going to a school out west. I wondered how long he is covered for medical wise, until his school ends or after? What happens if when he gets out he ends up with a 'pre existing condition" will the insurance not cover it? |

It would all depend on what the coverage is-I don't even know if all forces personnel have equal coverage-for all I know it might change with rank. As for a pre-existing condition, I think that there are ways to force a company to cover it. Basically someone has to take responsibility for it. |

I would think if the school is a medical school and he is still enlisted so that the school he is going to was their choice directly and not just his that his coverage would last as well as it would anywhere else. |
