Subject: Walmart Cheap Generic Drugs $4

Does everyone know about that Walmart Sales Generic drugs for $4 per prescription? It used to be $3 but they raised it to $4 recently. Does a Walmart exist where you are at?

Walmart does exist in the place I reside but I never really went for the sales at the pharmacy in walmart and rather used CVS more often over it.

Really? My mom doesn't have insurance still yet and the few times she's gotten sick since Wal-Mart started the cheap generic prices, it convinced her to go to the doctor because she could afford the medication they'd prescribe her that way. A dollar raise obviously won't break her and it's still an amazing deal, but I wonder if it'll continue to be raised or if this was just done to off-set gas prices and such like other items have done.

I was reading about this and I think that the $4.00 thing is only good once. Is this true? Also, is it good for all drugs, even the ones that cost $100.00? I don't have a Wal-Mart anywhere near me but was just wondering.

The $4.00 drugs are for every purchase but it is only for specific medications that were pretty cheap to begin with.

Here is the full list strait off of Walmart's website: http://i.walmart.com/i/if/hmp/fusion/four_dollar_drug_list.pdf

For years they have lowered the prices to get you in the store so that you buy other things or upgrade to a higher price item.

carybyrd is correct, the 4$ drugs are good for every purchase but only for a certain group of mostly generic meds that are not that costly to begin with.

I guess it works out if you don't fall prey to their tactic and go buy everything else that your eye has wandered on. A deal is a deal...

I get one of my rx. from Wal-Mart pharmacy and it is $4. Great deal. What's funny is if I use my insurance I have to pay the co-pay which is $5.

A buddy of mine is lucky he is in about 10 different meds and almost all are the $4 ones.

My post got cut off! :(

Anyways, what I was trying to finish saying was that the friend had to check a list off to see what Walmart allowed on the four dollar plan and what it did not. Most of the times you can call up to ask the pharmacist and they can help you so you don't have to make the trip down there to find out none of your meds are on their generics list.

I do the same as Michelle. A bunch of my medications must be pretty standard so I buy them at WalMart for $4.00 instead of paying $7.50 through my insurance.

Yes I know this. It's the same thing at Target. I just got a prescription today for $4 at Target.

Target also has a $4.00 generic program and Krogers Grocery is offering them as well although I don't know if their drug lists are the same.

I never know whether or not to trust a generic that is that cheap, but it sounds like folks are happy with it, from what I'm reading here.
