Subject: | Vitamins that aren't huge? | |
I want to start taking a multivitamin especially with B vitamins in it to support thyroid function and energy. I had tried to start taking B vitamin supplements but the pills are too big for me to swallow. Are there any brands of multivitamins that are good but aren't enormous? I have a lot of difficulty swallowing pills. |

I just saw a commercial yesterday for a new women's "one a day" line of vitamins that says it has extra B vitamins and something for energy - maybe gingko or ginseng? I don't remember. Anyway, I've taken regular one a day vitamins and they aren't very big. |

I think it is a mix of both cranberry. One a day are not bad, I used to take Centrum but switched over about a year or so ago. |

The worst ones are the ones that contain calcium. I think that maybe if you avoid those you will be better off. |

So the calcium is what makes the stupid things so large? I know I get plenty of calcium in my daily diet so I don't need the supplement there. I'll check for some without calcium. I just don't want to buy some and they are too big because I've wasted enough money buying things that I can't swallow. |

Anytime I have to take a "horse pill" I hate it and end up chopping it in half otherwise I could never take it, and you know they always taste horrible. |

If it is a tablet that can melt in some juice, I do that, otherwise I just make up my mind and do everything to keep myself from gagging on it. |

Sometimes I really wonder if they give us huge pills to take just to torture us. I just got an Rx for some the other day and they are "horse pills" no doubt, and not gel coated either. |
