Subject: | Not taking your whole prescription is not good | |
A lot of people will think "I feel better so I am not taking anymore meds" Thats very dangerous to do. And you could get sick again. You have to take the whole prescription to get well. My hubby used to take blood pressure pills and stop when his pressure was good then start again when it went up. Now he takes them everyday. Finally he is listening to his doctor. |

Actually, that's often true. I hate medications and have always had a difficult time taking pills. There have been a couple of times in my life when I've stopped taking something before it was complete, and I've paid a price for that to an extent. Still, I don't like taking meds any longer than I have to. |

The other problem with not completing a prescription is your bodies tendency to build an immunity or tolerance to them if not taken properly. So try to take them as directed if possible or at least until you consult your physician. |

This is exactly how the 'superbugs' are created, one of the most familiar being MRSA. If your doctor prescribes an antibiotic for a set amount of time, follow their instructions, you may end up even sicker later on if you don't! |

My hubby does this and it irks me. I take medication fully. The RX is designed that way for a reason. Well, he still gets better and I still need it all. It also depnds on a person immuno systme on ho well the RX works when they stop. J |
