I hope you did not take K-flex... maybe it was just a typo but what you decribed is plasticizer that has been used as a pseudo drug imported form India. Keflex is in the cephalexin family of antibiotics. Its a synthetic antibiotic, no origin in nature is used at all. Its used mostly for skin eruptions, respiratory infections as first line and ear aches. Its not used ofr much of anything else since it has no effect on a majority fo staph and strep infections. Pretty much its mild, first generation from penicillin. You can get rash, nausea, vomiting, stomach ache diarreah and of course its doesnt help to clear up the infection. And by continued use even when there is no improvement you create a strain thats resistant to Keflex. |

I was given Keflex for a recurring infection in my tonsils years ago. It is the only drug that I have ever had any side effects to. I broke out in tiny spots and I also had itching in my rectum. Needless to say I stopped taking it and never took it again. |

Keflex is pretty serious, so you need to ask the doctor WHY it is being prescribed! |

I was prescribed this for a sinus infection, and I had severe abdominal cramping along with intestinal distress. The doctor refused to acknowledge that the medication was doing this, and suggested I continue taking the medication for the duration. At the end of 2 days I simply could not take it anymore and stopped the treatment - I felt fine and was back to normal within 24 hours - despite still having the sinus infection. |
