Subject: | Immune Drug to treat Psoriasis | |
Recently, my dermatologist told me I have psoriasis. While sometimes uncomfortable it can be treated with shampoo and/or cream. I just found this article about the durg, Alefacept, being useful in the treatment of the condition. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/news/fullstory_64094.html |

My daughter has it as well and has been prescribed shampoo, mousse and cream for hers as well. She also found something over the counter that seems to help as well. Did your Dr tell you that spending time in a tanning booth can help it as well? My daughter is 17 years old and as one would expect very conscious of her appearance. She has had very good luck with regular use of these products to control it. You definitely want to research any medications and weigh the affects of the disease against those of the drugs. I have seen some medications and after looking at the side-effects haven't even talked to the Dr about them. Chris |

I know what you mean Chris. It blew me away to read the possible side effects of some of these medicines. |
