Subject: | Ibuprofen | |
I heard that if you take 8-10 Ibuprofen over-the-count it'll give the same effect as a percocet or vicodin. Is this true? Can 8-10 Ibuprofen be an overdose? |

Ibuprofen should only be taken according to the dosing instructions on the bottle. It depends on your height and weight as to how many you can take before an overdose. Ask your doctor. |

You can do damage to your stomach and liver taking too much ibuprofen. And, no, it will not have the same effect as a percocet or a vicodin. Those are narcotics and ibuprofin is an anti-inflammatory. |

That many ibuprofen at once can be very bad for your stomach and esophagus. You can however safely take up to 5 at a time but only with your doctor's permission. Prescription ibuprofen comes in 600 mg, 800 mg and 1000 mg (perhaps higher but I've never seen higher than 1000 mg). I was given a RX for 800 mg at one time and I couldn't afford to buy it. My doctor told me to take 4 regular tabs and that it was fine. |

I have taken 4 ibuprofen tablets for a headache. Thats the only amount that works for me. I also take goodys powders. They work much faster. |
