Subject: Getting medication free

I watched an episode of Montel Williams that told about how to get your medications free. I get my Zolft and Staterra free now.You have to qualify first. You can`t have insurance or medicaid. They ask for income information and you send in your application with a prescription from your doctor. They send the medication to your doctor and you pick it up there. I get 4 months supply. It really has helped me out a lot.One place is called Lily cares, the other is called connection to care. Sometimes you have to get your medications from different places. If you can`t find these on the net try going to montel williams site. Or google Montel and find the shhow that it has it on. I can`t remember the name of the site I started on sorry. Ive been using these companies for two years.

Thank you for sharing that information. I just wish there was a place that was very well advertised where people can go to for help in paying for drugs.

I know that some pharmacies help but you have to go to each one and see if you qualify. I wish there was one place that your doctor can tell you about as he hands you the prescription, that would get it paid for if you need help.

But mostly, I wish that there was a way to make certain that every American who needs a drug can afford to get it. That some of us can't afford to pay for our medical needs is just terrible and a terrible shame

Each drug company has a section on their website where people who are economically disadvantaged can apply for financial assistance relating to drugs used that are made by that company. There is no need to go to a third party site, go to their website and if that does not work, call their customer service. You can get help if you can't afford to pay for most drugs

You could also try speaking with your doctor about this. Many doctor's understand that people cannot afford their medications and know of ways to help them obtain them at a discount or for free.

I have had no problems with my meds or where I get them from. They go right to my doctors office. I get them free not at a discount. There are a lot of companies that Montel talked about that will send meds to your doctor free.

I used to do that. I would get one drug from the company, and the other from my doctor. Once I started making more than 18,000, that ended. I have insurance now, though.

I have been trying to get free medications for my mom, it is very difficult but it is possible. Yes, you need to qualify - no insurance, low income, etc. The doctor needs to confirm that you need the medication, too, which can be the difficult part: you go to the doctor, they hear "no insurance" and they don't want to treat you.
