Subject: | Changing prescriptions? | |
I went to pick up my birth control today and it has changed again! 3rd time. Yes I know insurance makes you get the generic-- but how many generics can there be for 1 birth control? It is scary really- the last one was working just fine- birth control is something one should not mess with. |

I think you are alright as long as the drug and dosage is the same. Generics generally have a high quality control as the name brands do. I've had a generic change on me several times as well. A lot of times it is just what the pharmacy has open or on hand. If you are concerned ask your Dr to check name brand only on the Rx slip. |

Thanks for the info. I just hate taking something different when it's that important you know what I mean. I have taken many generic drugs before- antibiotics and they do the trick. |

Did you ask your doctor why they keep switching? Or maybe ask the pharmacist? |

Is it the same insurance group? Maybe ask them why the brands keep changing. |
