Subject: | Canadian drugs illegal in the U.S. or just tolerated? | |
I had a major debate with my mother about this issue before her recent death. She would not buy Canadian drugs despite projected substantial savings because she felt that the practice was clearly illegal. I felt that, though perhaps not 100% okay, it was a very common and tolerated practice. Thoughts? |

Yes, she is right the Bush administration has failed to make it into law but I believe we are passed the point of being "just tolerated". People don't see it as a risk anymore and neither should you; all they see are the benefits :) In fact, all of the U.S. presidential candidates are promising to make it legal for all Americans to import discount Canadian medications because our system is broken. In 2004 Canadian online pharmacies hit a sales peak around $1 billion. If the new presidential legislation is passed you can expect that figure to double...that means eDrugSearch.com is going to be busier than ever! |

I think it's very positive news that folks will be able to get less expensive medication, legally. I guess the only thing to keep in mind is that both countries don't necessarily approve the same medications, but that probably won't affect the majority of people. |
