The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has said that two drugs used to clean the colon and other related procedures have been found to contain elements that harms the kidneys. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/12/11/AR2008121102639.html |

Surprise surprise! Another drug that has been in use for some time that only now gets a black box warning. This problem should have been known long before it was ever put into use, thanks to extensive testing (which of course didn't happen). |

It doesn't matter what the drug is for it is either damaging to the kidneys or the liver or both. You can not put foreign substances into the body without damaging it. |

I heard about this on the radio of our local station here. It seems someone was trying to get clean for an upcoming surgery that the guy had to take, not the best thing to hear early in the morning driving to work but I did remember it. |

Is there any safe way to do this? It seems I remember reading something about this for the same thing years ago but I can not remember the name of it. |
