There is a debate going on whether or not to stop the use of some drugs used in treating persons suffering from asthma. One side is saying that without the drug, persons conditions will get worst.

That's interesting, persons actually have had success in using Advair and can't imagine living without it. Their hospital has been cut significantly. I just hope the right conclusion is made.

I too know people for who it makes a great deal of difference, but ultimately the risks have to be weighed. We can't have large numbers of people suffering, because a few people benefit.

I wonder if people will be offered an alternative for these medicines, or if they will just be left to struggle? Certainly I would hope for oversight as they come off them.

Most times I have heard that if the benefits outweigh the ricks then a doctor will allow it. Is that really the case?

I think hanna means "risks" but yes I can understand that as well. A friend was on Ritalin for a long time and is now slightly paranoid of almost everything, his doctor says its linked to the use he did the drug on as a teen.
