I have heard in small doses and only as recommended by a physician. I am 29 and was experiencing some chest pains and the doctor suggested I take 1 baby aspirin every day. I have since switched to Womens low dose. |

The reason that it is good for your heart is that it acts as a blood thinner. This means that there is less chance of blockage and hence less chance of a heart attack. |

Yes, Aspirin, in small doses, is good for your heart, as is Ibuprophen, but too much of it can cause liver damage. If you are just trying to get rid of pain, use Tylenol, it does not have effects that hurt your liver. |

I know many people who take a baby aspirin every day for their heart. The small amount of aspirin won't hurt and it might help with heart problems. |

I've also heard that aspirin thins the blood. I think I've heard of it being prescribed as a daily precaution against strokes, too. |

Many times people will take an aspirin rather than going to the doctors and being given a more expensive blood thinner, I guess if it works don't fix it right? I cant take it myself as it makes me nauseas, so I guess I would be stuck with the Rx bill. :) |

It CAN be good for your heart, but remember taking too many pills can increase your chance of liver damage. I guess it'd be up to the one taking it everyday if they'd rather have a better heart or liver damage right? I wouldn't take the change of getting liver damage personally. I would find another way to have a better heart, there are many ways. For example Cheerios are very good for your heart if you eat a bowl a day :) |
