Subject: | White Teeth | |
Many people are using those teeth whitening kits and I am still not certain that they are really good for our teeth. I think it's a better idea to keep away from the foods that stain your teeth, or make it a point to brush your teeth after eating or drinking things that really stain and dull them. I read an article about the most popular foods and drinks that stain the teeth and so I thought I'd list the foods here for the people who don't want to have to use those whitening gels and lights and kits on their teeth. I would rather either skip these foods or brush my teeth right away than us those chemicals and bleaches in my mouth. Most of these foods are known to stain anything they touch (beets, cranberry juice) and it makes perfect sense that teeth also will get stained. As for the drinks that most of us take in all through the day like tea, coffee and cola, I'm not sure how to really fight their dulling effect on teeth. Maybe use gum to let your saliva wash your teeth during the day and then brush well at night. Here are some of the worst teeth staining foods that you can have: black coffee tea red wine cranberry juice blueberries artificially colored foods, like frozen treats and slushies beets soy sauce curry cola tomato sauce In that most of these foods are things that I have each day, I can only wonder that my teeth aren't duller than they are. I guess all that brushing does help keep them clean. |

My niece used the teeth whitening products for a long time. She siad it ruined the enamel on her teeth and now she is having a lot of problems. I`ve used the crest strips but only once. I brush and floss but I can`t afford the dentist. |

I don't think they do anything to promote a health dental routine. Teeth really need looking after, brushing and flossing regularly. I just see these tooth whitening products as a quick fix solution, that really offer no oral cleansing benefits whatsoever. |

I could never use the whitening products, they just made my teeth way too sensitive. I try to avoid staining foods and brush three times per day, I hope to be able to get professional whitening done sometime. |

I would not use it daily. Maybe once every few years would be ok, but not all the time. |

Even though I have tried whitening products for my teeth, it fails to make my teeth whiter. Actually my teeth is no where near white. In fact, they are yellow in color as I am a heavy tea drinker. Does anyone here have any other ideas in whitening one's teeth? |
