Subject: What is this pain, sinuses?

I had really thought my head was going to explode yesterday. I felt like my nose was on fire and there was random pressure about where my nose goes up near my eye, but it felt like nothing I have every experienced before.

Welcome to my world. I have sinus pressure almost everyday. I take Advil Cold and Sinus for it. You have to buy it at the pharmacy, it's tracked by the government.

If you can't get rid of the pressure, you should go to the doctors. It could be a sinus infection.

Sinus issues are absolutely miserable. I have a lot of pressure and pain beside my nose and behind my eyes. Some random things that I've found help a little are warm towels over my eyes, and if you have a little hand held massager you can apply lightly where the pressure is really bad, the vibration seems to ease it a little. And of course over the counter medications. But like Nicole said, if it's really bad it could be an infection. Get to a doctor and get some medication to clear it up.

They seem to slow down as the weather changes but when it goes from extreme hot to cold or the other way around, they break back out and torture me a little more.

I think I am going to need to actually see a doctor if it keeps up.

Yes, that's generally what I wind up doing to. My allergies are bad whenever the weather is changing and it always means a trip to the doctor for me. It's always-allergies=sinus pressure and no drainage=sinus infection=doctor's visit and then finally relief after I've taken allergy and decongestant pills along with an anitbiotic and wash out my sinuses as the doctor has taught me. I do not *heart* sinus pressure/pain :(

Swollen sinuses are really a hassle many times. My attacks when the weather changes.
