Subject: | Study Says Depression Causes Some Diseases | |
I heard about a study recently saying that depression causes some diseases like cancer. The study went on to say that some people who are depressed have cancer and other diseases and that it is the depression that is causing them. I rolled my eyes at this study because not once was it mentioned that people who have bad diseases like cancer are depressed. It makes more sense to me that if you have a life threatening disease you will be depressed not that being depressed caused the illness. How much are these researchers paid? I could come up with the same studies and slant it any way that the organization paying for it wants it to go. |

I'd like to actually read over that study and see if it really is a scientific study or if it is a bunch of anctidotal evidence (worthless at best). |

Could you directed us to the study? I would like to take a look. I do think there is some true in the study. As when one is depressed, your immune system is very weak. When it is weak, you are open to attacks from all sort of diseases including cancer. Can't you see most depressed people are not healthy people? How can you be healthy if you are not happy? |

It does seem interesting but I am pretty sure I am going on the no train for causing cancer. It just seems a little over the top for me. |

I am getting really tired of these studies, they are just frightening people. |
