It could be. It could also be cubital tunnel syndrom. When you lean on your elbow you press against a set of nerves that get inflamed, more so than carpal tunnel. TRy using a cusion to rest your elbow on and a cusion to relax your wrists on. Another thing my husbands neurosurgeon told him was take frequent breaks. after an hour or so get up and run your hands under tepid water, massaging them like your doing a really good hand washing to get the circulation back and give the muscles a rest. a mild NSAIDS as prevention helps too so deos limiting soda and caffine which can aggrivate any repetitive movent condition. julie |

I have read that getting the inflammation down and keeping it down can really help. And taking breaks like the previous person said is important too. When I had TMJ (jaw joint inflammation) the doctor had me take OTC ibuprophen, twice daily, for a month to knock out the inflammation, and it really helps. |

You know bubble they now make some keyboards and keyboard pads that are suppose to help ease the onset of these issues. Even though they have already started you may want to give it a try to. |

You can do some exercises whilst sat at your desk that might help or stop and do something else for a while. |
