Well its been a few months now since my gall bladder was removed, and I'm still having problems. Most things I can live with, having lived with them for years. But I have the most intense heartburn, and its killing my sleep. Anyone here dealt with that after the op? How can I overcome it? |

I believe that drugs like Prilosec are used for treating this. The problem is that the bile that used to gather in the gall bladder has a tendency to wash back into the stomach, and it increases the acidity in the stomach. |

I don't know about other drugs to treat this-I've just bought a course of Zantac to try because it is so much cheaper than Prilosec OTC. It might be worth experimenting with a few things. |
