Is PAD a condition that can increase your risk of stroke? What medication is usually given to people with PAD? |

I have two friends and my mom in law that had this. They had to have surgery. From what they have said and gone through, yes it can increase your risk of stroke and heart attack. My friend ended up with a heart attack after he had the surgery and then he needed a double by pass. |

What kind of surgery can be done for PAD? Is it an outpatient procedure?? |

They open the arteries back up. Most times with stents. My mom in law did it out patient and so did a friend of mine. |
