Subject: | OCD vs Organized? | |
I am a very organized person and have my own ways to do this. I have been told I am very similar to someone with OCD although not nearly as obsessive about it. What makes the leap from retentively organized to OCD? |

Sometimes there is a thin line between the two. Most doctors don't think its a problem unless the person tends to have "rituals". Like maybe you cant go outside unless you wash the door knob three times before leaving, and then sanitize your hands 3 times and so on. Then they think your crazy, but it depends on the doctor too. What most consider before the line, some doctors think your wack. |

I know someone who sufferes from OCD. It is as the title suggests, a compultion to do something obsesssively, and as the person above has stated, in a ritual like style. |

I don't know exactly. I'm thinking if you are compulsive about it and get really upset if someone does something opposite - or misplaces something. I used to be very organized-- then I had a child- that went out the window! |

I researched OCD's once for a research paper and it seems like most everyone has some form of an OCD. Some are obviously worse than others and requires help. Like many conditions, there are varying levels of OCD. |
