Subject: | Lupis | |
when I went to the docs a couple of years ago for a bruse I got in a fall (it was a BIG bruse) I mentioned that my knee was hurting... Long story short, tested my for ANA and said that I had Lupus - though when I looked it up I had none of the classic signs - just the pain in my knee (now both knees and grinding in my neck).. Their solution was big napersin pills for the pain.. Should I get a 2nd opinion? |

I do not think it is ever bad to want a second opinion. Especially when you have a concern that you may have been misdiagnosed. |

A second opinion could never hurt. My mom was diagnosed with lupus as well. She had the aching joints accompanied by a reddish type rash that would appear on her face after she had been working hard. |

I think you should get a second opinion if you're questioning your doctor's diagnosis. There have definitely been cases where a second opinion may have led to better results. |

I thought lupus was a cancer of the blood disease, a friend of mine mom died from it when my friend was only a child. I agree that you should get a second opinion from a reputable doctor. |
