Subject: | I got the sniffles | |
I went to bed last night feeling tired, this morning I woke up with the sniffles, now I have a headache, my nasal area has a burning sensation and I feel lethargic. I have been staving off the flu by drinking some honey every now and again, but my honey is now finished. What to do? |

When I start getting a cold I drink hot tea. The hot liquid is supposed to kill the germs in the throat and nasal passages. I also have extra vitamin C and orange juice and get a pot of chicken soup going. Then I prepare for at least three days of torture as the cold works it's way out. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. |

Honey helps the flu? I've never heard of that before... Anyways just get some medicine for it. NyQuil usually works good depending on what kind you get... |

Try stuffing some vitamin although it might be too late to stave off the flu. Ask your pharmacist about a good flu medicine and drink lots of fluids. |

Is there any chance it could be a cold or seasonal allergies? I've heard that by consuming "local" honey you can actually improve your quality of life during allergy season and it helps build your immunity to certain things. I would say get some more honey and treat the symptoms. Tea has always helped for me. I have a few natural fruit oils (tangerine and orange) that I put a couple of drops in my tea. It adds a great flavor, zero calories and gives some natural Vitamin C. Chris |

Also, I use a home remedy when I get stuffy. Try soaking a wash cloth with very warm water (not hot) and putting it up your nose (not far but enough to rest up in there). Your nose will clear right up. :) |
