Subject: | Hypothyroidism | |
What are some symptoms of hypothyroidism? I am sluggish and tired all of the time and I feel so cold. I've been told that this may be some symptoms of hypothyroidism and have scheduled a doctor's appointment. Is this truly symptomatic of hypothyroidism or are my friends just telling me this? |

Weight gain is the symptom which my friend who suffers from this noticed first. Her eating habits stayed exactly the same, no change in exercise, and her weight began to balloon. |

Yes, those are symptoms of hypothyroidism but as was pointed out, they can also be symptoms of other problems. Almost all hypothyroid sufferers will experience the weight gain before they notice other symptoms. If left alone, it can have heart repercussions and your hair can start falling out. It's a simple blood test to check so if you think it might be a problem, just see the doctor. |
