This is unbelievable. My doctor told me that you can be a carrier of HPV for even a decade or two, never showing any symptoms and still share it with your partner. How is that possible? |

Because most of the time it simply doesn't cause any symptoms. There are only a handful of strains that cause warts, or cancer, and the rest just become a part of your body's normal flora. |

Even the variants that can cause cervical cancer can have no symptoms. My daughter had HPV a few years ago that they say is gone now but she is monitored closely for any changes to her cervix now. She had no symptoms whatsoever. It was only found when doing her annual exam. |

It just doesn't make any sense. So, you can marry someone who was previously married and catch something they got 20 years ago. Also, it would make it rather difficult to determine if your partner was currently unfaithful; if you have been married 10 plus years and HPV pops up. Is there any way to determine if it is a new case or several years old? |
