Subject: | Helping your cough while you sleep | |
I've heard of this online and thought I'd try it to see if it helped. I've got a respiratory infection and it causing me to cough quite a bit and sleep has been really bad because of it. I then remembered something I read about putting Vicks on your feet with a pair of socks to ease coughing. I tried it and must say it actually works for me! I put some of the "Vapo-Rub" on the soles of my feet and put socks on and I've been sleeping great ever since. Smitty |

there are many old style remedies that work. Acuupressure in your feet and applying a stimulent like vicks would help. j |

I don't know for sure, but I think there's a drug that can help you do that. |

Oh that is strange! I have never heard of it, but will probably try it next time I have a cough just to see! I do usually put Vicks on my chest, chin, and under my nose at times like that and it is a huge help. |

Does anyone know why exactly this works? It seems like the rub would do better somewhere closer to your nose or something doesnt it? |

Thanks for sharing that, i had never heard of this home remedy before. I still wonder if there might not be any unintended side effects from doing this though. |

You may end up with feet that smell like mint, which doesn't seem to bad to me! |
