Some say a happy wife equals a happy life, and it actual may lead to a healthier, longer one. It was found that that men and women who are involved in happy marriages scored an average of four points lower on blood-pressure tests than single adults with a good group of supportive friends and relatives. Propaganda. There is no stress when you don't have to think about effecting your spouse all of the time. I hear this stuff occasionally, and can only say that it is proven that we guys are not naturally monogamous. Or wusses. Take it from one who has gone both ways, relationship-wise. Single is better and more natural for me. |

This inforamtion is the same for people with cancer or any other kind of chronic illness. Just like some advice that suggests having a dog leads to a healthier longer life. You have some one to live for and with. |

I think having a spouse or at least one person who is a constant in your life can really help relieve your stress. We all need at least one person to bounce our ideas off and to listen when we need to rant or rave about something or when we are coping with difficult situations. |
