My sister has recently been diagnosed with Grave's Disease. She said it has something to do with her thyroid gland but she wasn't exactly sure. I have never heard of this disease. Is anyone out there familiar with it? How serious is this?

I know that it can or it does also lead to eye issues down the road. From what I remember most times this can happen with a person that smokes a good deal. Is your sister a smoker?
