Subject: | Diverticulitis | |
Is anyone familiar with this disease? My husband was diagnosed with it a year ago. He has had several flare ups that caused him to have to stay in the hospital for several days. However, he has also had two instances where he had the symptoms of a flare up, but nothing showed up at all on the CT Scan they did on him. I'm just curious as to why that happened when he was having the exact same symptoms as when it did show up? |

It might be. In fact the last attack he had turned out to be a gall bladder attack. But, even though he had his gall bladder removed, he has since had a couple of what seemed to be diverticulitis attacks, but no signs showed up on the CT Scan. So, really I feel he needs to have a second opinion to find out what all is going on with him. |

A second opinion would be a good idea if they thing he's having flare ups but can't prove it. Obviously they aren't asking the right questions to find the real problem. |

I was told once that I had this problem, but mine is not very chronic and I am doing what I can to keep it that way. I did some reading on the area but I can't remember anything that would explain your situation. As Purple said, a second opinion would really help. |
