What are the symptoms of diabetes? The only one that I know of is frequent urination. I go more than the normal person, but I always have. I heard Mary Tyler Moore talking about her diabetes, but she didn't give any warning signs. |

Other warning signs can include excessive thirst, itchy skin, hot flashes and fatigue. There are others, as well, that are less common. Keep in mind that not everyone will get symptoms at all so if there is a family history, you should get your glucose levels checked with your annual physical. |

I looked up diabetes symptoms and found a whole lot more information on it than I expected. Besides what has been mentioned excessive hunger and cuts and sores that are very slow to heal. Did find a good website on the subject. It gives far more complete info than I could write here. Here is the link: http://www.diabetessymptomsonline.com/symptoms.htm |

^ That is a great link picodoll, lots of good info. The one symptom I always hear mentioned is the excessive thirst. I never knew that sometimes there are not any symptoms. |

It can sometimes be tricky to be diagnosed because on occasion you don't even notice the symptoms or signs until it is advanced. The test to find out is really simple though so it is wise for anyone, signs or not, to be tested. |

Does the urination come into play from those of being thirsty all the time, or is that not the same? I have always been like this but every test always comes back negative. |

See I wonder about this too, it runs bad in my family as my entire fathers family I can not think of one person that did not have it, except me so far (and his other kids, but they have different moms). We all get tested and we all come back negative too, is it always too late before you get tested to take better care of yourself if you are not sure what sparked it in the first place? |
