Subject: | Dehydration Headaches | |
I ended up with one last night after being in the sun for way too long. I felt like I was actually about to pass out and could not get nearly enough water in my body, which I had been drinking plenty of all day long. How much water is too much, as it seems I wasn't at my limit and that headache took over 12hrs to get rid of. |

You need about eight 8oz glasses worth day from everything you consume in a day, although there have been studies which show this can be variable to some degree. Another thing that can help get liquid in your system faster is a bath or shower as your skin can exchange water on a cellular level based on surface area. |

If you're spending a lot of time in the heat and sun you need to take in a lot more water than what is usually recommended. The sun and heat dehydrates you and you have to continually hydrate yourself. Always take a bottle of water with you when you go outside and remember to drink it even if you don't feel thirsty. And keep refilling that bottle as long as you are out doors. |

It may not be dehydration. Being in the sun too long can cause sun poisoning or heat stroke which can cause a headache as well. Could be a combination too. |
